Background
The Jaspairs Trading and Projects (Pty) Limited (“Jaspairs”) was founded by black African entrepreneurs in 20011 to pursue investments in the mining sector. In 20012 Kalahari was granted a new order prospecting license for manganese in the Kalahari Basin.
This license covers an area spanning thirteen farms. The farms are located approximately 20 kilometers East of Hotazel, in the Manganese rich area of the Northern Cape Province in South Africa.
In January 2012, Jaspairs lodged an application for the prospecting of iron ore and manganese ore. In terms of this licences, the new mining company, will be established. The company plans to invest into the exploration in order to take the project to a Bankable Feasibility Stage. This study will be completed at the end of 2014.
